The Info Bar along the top of the screen gives you a quick preview of the settings for the tool you are using. This saves you from having to open the settings by being able to access them on the fly. In fact the majority of settings from the ‘Default Settings’ window can be found
To find out which layer an element is on, select the element . The Info Box on will tell you what layer the selected element belongs to. Note: If the Info Box palette is missing ,to bring it back go to Window > Palettes and click on Info Box.
Make sure you add the info box items to your polystair, otherwise you will not be able to adjust the reference line of you polystair. You can either use the Cadimage Tool Scheme, or add the panels manually using Options > Work Environment > Info Box: Select the Polystair Tool and turn on the Flight
If you want to make changes to your ToolBox or Infobox you can right-click on it and go straight to the corresponding page within the Work Environment.
If your Info Box palette has disapeared, to bring it back go to Window > Palettes and click on Info Box. All your other palettes are here too, if you have accidentally turned them off..
Using the wheel on your mouse you can scoll through the information in the Info Box. OR you can select the scroll bar and drag it left and right.
You can change Selection Methods in ArchiCAD by clicking and holding the mouse button on the first icon in your Info Box. The first option(Partial Element) will select any element that has any part inside the selection box you draw. The second option(Entire Element) will only select elements that are entirely enveloped in your selection
