If you have used Cadimage Sites + Massing to create Boundaries around your site, the Cadimage Boundary objects Calculate their bearing based on Project North. So if you are planning on Rotating your Site, you need to update Project North at the same time. Cadimage Sites + Massing has an easy way of doing this.
We have all had situations where we need to calculate Cut and Fill volumes for sloping sites. Here is a simple technique for doing this is to use Solid Element Operations. First of all, once you have created your mesh, create a copy of it off to the side. Use your slabs and footings to create
When needing to input degrees, minutes & seconds for Site Boundaries, go to Options > Project Preferences > Working Units & Levels… and change the Angle Unit to degrees, minutes, seconds. When inputing your angles, use the Space key between each unit. Don’t forget to change back to decimal after you have placed your boundaries.
When modeling meshes, be careful that your surveyor’s contours don’t touch or overlap. If they do, it will create an anomaly in your mesh when you magic wand them.
When you are using the Magic Wand (SHORTCUT = SPACE BAR) to trace contours lines for a mesh, you can adjust the setting that the magic wand uses by going to Options > Magic Wand Settings, here you can increase or decrease the number and accuracy of the points that the magic wand places. Note:
