Tabs: Black or Blue?

ARCHICAD 20 Tabs functionality has improved in many ways, but first notice that now tabs that belong to a view point (Project Map) are displayed with Black Icon, while the tabs that belong to a saved view (View Map) are displayed with a Blue Icon

Opening Layouts/Views on a single tab

In ARCHICAD 19, with the new Tab Bar feature, double clicking on different views/layouts opens new tabs. If you would like them to open in a single tab go to Options>Work Environment>More Options

Move Tabs in ArchiCAD 19

If you find the Tabs are not in the ideal order for you… move them.  All you need to do is click on the Tab you want to move, hold the mouse button down, move left or right and then let go when you want to drop it in place.  Drag and drop in action!

If you find you have too many Tabs open in ArchiCAD 19 – you can close them easily the same way you would on a web browser… simply middle mouse click or click with the wheel button on the Tab you no longer need…
